And here I thought her middle name was Heather. Also, she would be more likely to transmit diseases to her rescuees, because her movements do not effectively pasteurize her immediate environment.
Incinerate, not pasteurize. The latter does imply that something edible would survive the process, which I'm fairly sure is not going to happen :D
Maybe you were looking for "sterilize"... which still implies that something is effectively cleaned, rather than vaporized, but I guess that would hold for any bedrock or metal parts in her immediate environment.
I looked up a bunch of images of the Amazon and used them as a general reference for the shape of the forest. I used some leaf and grass brushes in Photoshop with multiple layers and colors to create some sense of depth to the canopy. The reference pics were all daytime shots, so the sunset sky was my doing (so I should be blamed for any unrealistic colors).
I think the entire panel is spot on, very well done! Except for one unrealistic color, that is: the lightest of the green shades looks like leaves glistening in the sun but those leaves should be in the shade, not only is the sun low but it is also behind them. I guess the lighting situation is one of the dangers of using reference pictures. The colors of the sky are quite good I think, with the smoke from a forest fire a setting sun does create some extreme colors even in real life.
